THE BIBLE AT A GLANCE!!!

1) The creation: Genesis 1: 1. The fall of Adam, Genesis 3: 6. God’s covenant with men after the flood, Genesis 9: 13. The 70 runners are found in the old and new testaments. 70 members of Jacob Household moved to Egypt, Genesis 48: 8 - 27. Jacob was mourned for 70 days, Genesis 50: 1 - 3; 70 elders of Israel composed the great tribunal, Exodus 24: 1. Numbers 11: 16 to 25. Israel spent 70 years in captivity in Babylon, Jeremiah 29: 10. 70 Years were determined upon Jerusalem, Daniel 9: 24. 70 elders of Israel defiling themselves, Ezekiel 8: 11. 70 disciples were sent by Christ to preach the Gospel. Luke 10: 1 - 24.

2) The Abraham covenant: Genesis 15: 18 – 21. Abraham descendants found in Genesis 49.

3) The Old Testament: The two signal lights are representative of the two tables of stones. The 10 commandments were given to no other nations but Israel, Exodus 20: 1 - 2. 2 Samuel 7: 23. Acts 14: 15 - 17. Sin is the transgression of the law, 1 John 3: 4. All have sin, Romans 3: 23. The marathoners of the new dispensation are not under the law. Romans 6: 14. Romans 14: 3 - 6. Galatians 5. The laws were nailed at the cross. Colossians 2:13–16. Christ abolished the law in his flesh, Ephesians 2: 14 – 16. No man is justified by the work of the law, Galatians 2: 16. You have fallen from grace by attempting to be justified by the law, Galatians 5: 4. No one has ever kept the law, John 7: 19. The disciples are not under the yoke of the laws, Acts 15: 7 - 10. Please read the entire chapter for context. The disciples are justified by the law of faith, Romans 3: 19 - 27.

 

4) The New Testament: Starting from Palm Sunday, Matthew 21: 1 -9. The new covenant Matthew 26: 27 – 29. Mark 14: 22 – 25. The beginning of the church age on Pentecost Acts 2: 13 – 41. The Holy Spirit, Acts 11: 15. The four columns represent the four evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The 12 windows represent the 12 Apostles. Their mission was to evangelize the world, represented by the seven columns on the side which are the seven continents Matthew 28:18-20. The clock is set to midnight showing that time is up, Revelation 10: 5-7. The red pathway symbolizes the persecution of the saints throughout the church age Revelation 17: 6. Tertullian said: “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.”

5) The fountain of God: John 4: 4 -14; John 7: 38.

6) The rapture: The glorious hope is the rapture, Titus 2: 13. 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 -18; 1 Corinthians 15: 51 - 58. The church in heaven, Revelation 4 and 5. The number 24 is also found in the old testaments. 24 Priests 1 Chronicles 24: 1 - 19.

7) The only way: Jesus is the only way, John 14: 6. Jesus is the door, John 10: 7- 18. Jesus is the narrow gate Matthew 7: 13 – 14.

8) Good tree and bad tree: Jesus is the true vine, John: 15. The fruits of the spirit, Galatians 5: 22 - 23. The tree is known by its fruits Matthew 12: 33,  Psalm 1.

9) The olive tree emblem of peace: Genesis 8: 11. Psalm 52: 8. Failure of, a great calamity, Habakkuk 3:17 - 18. The olive tree illustrative of Christ, Romans 11: 17- 24. The olive tree is synonymous with abundance, Deuteronomy 24: 20. Olive trees are illustrative of pious parents, Psalm 128: 3. Olive tree serves God and man, Judges 9: 9.

10) The fig tree: The State of Israel. Matthew 24: 32 - 35. From the Garden of Eden to the days preceding the second coming of the Lord the fig tree is the time clock of the Messiah. The 12 tribes of Israel and the 144.000 Jewish evangelists of the tribulation are found in Revelation 7: 4 – 8. Present day Israel is the fig tree generation. Revelation 14: 1 - 3.

11) The Mount of Olives: Where Jesus ascended to heaven Acts 1: 9 – 12 and where Jesus will fight the nations at his second coming. Zechariah 14: 3 – 4. The colors of the mountain represent the diverse ethnicity. The Crown is a symbol of the glorious return of the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

12) Eternal Heaven or Hell: Where is your last address? John 5: 28 – 29. Daniel 12: 2. Matthew 13: 41 - 50. Matthew 25: 41- 46. Revelation 14: 11. Revelation 19: 20. Revelation 20: 7 - 15. Who will go to HELL? Revelation 21: 8.

13) The Redeemed: Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Psalm 107: 2 – 3. Psalm 23: 6. They will inherit the earth, Isaiah 51: 11. Matthew 5: 5; Psalm 37: 29.

14) Finishing the Race: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only for me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing 2 Timothy 4: 7 – 8.
